No, it is not. From 29th April 2026, under section 241 of the Crime and Policing Act 2026, a woman who has an abortion does not commit any offence where she is acting in relation to her own pregnancy, no matter what the circumstance are.
This does not change other existing laws as far as other people are concerned, e.g. doctors, midwives, nurses etc. Anybody assisting a person in obtaining an abortion outside of existing legislation would be liable for prosecution.
