Q671: Do I have a right to make a phone call from the cells when I have been arrested?

A detained person has the right to have a person informed of their whereabouts. The detained person shall also be allowed one telephone call for a reasonable amount of time. This is for non terrorism related arrests.

However, both of the requests can be delayed or denied by an Inspector. For more information on treatment of persons in custody, see related website.
