Q534: Does a police officer from England and Wales have a power of arrest anywhere in Great Britain?

Police officers (including special constables) from England and Wales have the power of arrest throughout England and Wales and also in Scotland, Northern Ireland (subject to certain conditions) and the adjacent United Kingdom waters (sea and other waters within the seaward limits of the territorial sea).

If any cross border arrests/operations are planned, it would be best practice for these to be done in co-operation with the force involved.
